About Our Campaign
About Us
The Pride of Pearland (PoP), the Pearland High School Marching Band and Color Guard, is one of the top bands in the state of Texas. The students always perform at the highest level, as evidenced by the 50+ consecutive years of Sweepstakes awards at Texas UIL Marching contest, numerous UIL Area Marching Championships, and, most recently, an 8th-place finish at the 2024 Texas UIL State 6A Marching Contest. The band is the reigning back-to-back Bands of America South Houston Regional Champion, a consistent finalist at the Bands of America San Antionio Super Regional, and earned a 7th-place finish at the 2023 Bands of America Grand National Championships at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana, one of the most competitive marching competitions in the nation. During the winter and spring months, Pearland band students consistently qualify for the TMEA All-State Band. The four concert bands consistently earn Sweepstakes awards at the annual UIL concert and sightreading evaluations. Our band members lead the way in academic prowess, frequently placing in the top 10% of their graduating classes, being nominated to the National Honor Society, and holding one of the highest student-organization GPAs in the school year after year. In 2020, the Pride of Pearland participated in the Rose Parade® in Pasadena, CA. Their selection was based on the humanitarian assistance provided to the community in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey in 2017, as numerous students volunteered in neighborhoods, and the band hall stored key recovery supplies. The Pride of Pearland is the only band in Texas (and one of only three bands nationwide) invited to perform in the 100th Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade® in New York City in November 2026. The Pearland Band Booster Club supports the students and directors by providing meals, logistical planning, event planning, uniform care, prop construction, sound equipment, and more. The Pearland Band Booster Club is a Texas 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation. Your donations are tax deductible.
Why We're Fundraising
Fundraising efforts, such as this, allow the students to raise their performance level to compete with the very best high school bands in the nation. Stunning visual effects and incredibly technical music are direct results of the money raised through this campaign. Please enjoy the show from last season to see and hear how the fundraising impacts our organization.
