Last Updated: February 17, 2026

1. Overview

RapidFundraising Fundraising LLC ("RapidFundraising," "we," "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect through our website, platform, and services (the "Service"), how we use it, how we protect it, and what choices you have.

This Privacy Policy applies to Participants—individuals (e.g., students, parents, guardians) who create accounts to participate in fundraising campaigns. Organizers who create and manage campaigns are governed by separate terms.

Our Commitment

All personal information and supporter data entered into RapidFundraising is used solely for the purpose of operating your fundraiser. We will never sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for their marketing purposes. We do not reuse, repurpose, or recycle your data or your supporters' data for any purpose unrelated to your specific campaign—including advertising, profiling, or sharing with other organizations or campaigns.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

  • Account Registration Data: First name, last name, email address, phone number, and password (stored only in hashed form). We also record your age confirmation attestation (that you are 13 or older) and your acceptance of these Terms and the Terms of Service.
  • Campaign Data: Fundraiser names, goals, participation data, and organization/school affiliation.
  • Supporter Data: Contact information (phone numbers, emails) you upload for use in fundraising outreach to your supporters.

2.2 Information Generated Through Use

  • Messaging Data: SMS opt-in and opt-out records (both yours and your supporters'), timestamps, Twilio MessageSIDs, and campaign identifiers.
  • Device and Usage Data: IP addresses, browser type, cookies, and interaction logs.
  • Payment Data: Limited transactional metadata from our payment processors. We do not store full credit card numbers.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Create and operate your account;
  • Run fundraising campaigns you participate in;
  • Send you administrative text messages related to your fundraiser (campaign updates, reminders, progress notifications, and alerts), as consented to in the Terms of Service;
  • Send consent request SMS messages to supporters you add, and send fundraising texts to supporters only after their explicit opt-in;
  • Maintain TCPA/CTIA compliance logs and audit trails;
  • Communicate service updates, security notices, and account-related information;
  • Prevent fraud, enforce our Terms of Service, and ensure system integrity;
  • Improve and develop the Service.

4. SMS and Messaging Practices

RapidFundraising sends two categories of text messages. For the rules governing SMS use, see the Participant Terms of Service.

4.1 Administrative Messages to You

By registering and providing your phone number, you consent to receive text messages related to administering your fundraiser. These may include campaign status updates, reminders, progress notifications, and important alerts. Message frequency varies. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP, though opting out may limit certain Service functionality.

4.2 Fundraising Messages to Your Supporters

  • Opt-in required: No fundraising texts are sent to supporters without their explicit opt-in.
  • Frequency: 3 max per campaign.
  • Quiet Hours: Messages are sent only between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. local time.
  • Keywords: Supporters may reply STOP to unsubscribe, HELP for help, START to re-subscribe. Opt-outs are processed immediately.
  • Costs: Message and data rates may apply.
  • Identification: Messages clearly identify RapidFundraising and/or the associated nonprofit.
  • Not a condition: SMS consent is not required for supporters to make a donation.

5. Data Sharing and Use Limitations

We do not sell or share personal information except as strictly necessary to operate your fundraiser:

  • Service Providers: We share data with trusted providers who help us operate the Service, including Twilio (SMS delivery), payment processors, and cloud hosting providers. These providers are contractually obligated to use your data only for the services they provide to us and for no other purpose.
  • Campaign Organizers: The Organizer of your campaign may receive limited engagement information (e.g., whether supporters opted in or donated) necessary to manage the campaign.
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose information when required by law, subpoena, or court order, or when necessary to protect the rights, safety, or property of RapidFundraising, our users, or the public.

What we will never do

We do not reuse or repurpose data entered into the Service for anything beyond your specific fundraiser. We do not share supporter contact lists with other campaigns or organizations. We do not use your data for our own marketing or advertising. We do not build profiles of you or your supporters for use outside your campaign. We do not retain or recycle supporter data into future campaigns unless you explicitly choose to participate again and re-enter or authorize the use of that data.

6. Data Retention

  • SMS and Consent Records: Opt-in/opt-out records, timestamps, and related compliance data are retained for at least 4 years as required for TCPA/CTIA compliance.
  • Account Data: Retained as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You may request deletion (see Section 8).
  • Other Data: Retained as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy or to meet legal obligations.

7. Data Security

We take the security of your data seriously and employ safeguards including:

  • Password hashing (we never store plaintext passwords);
  • Encryption of data in transit (TLS/SSL);
  • Access controls limiting who can view personal data;
  • Logging and monitoring for unauthorized access.

No system is completely secure. While we work to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. We will notify affected users in accordance with applicable law in the event of a data breach.

9. Children's Privacy

During registration, users must affirm they are 13 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that a user is under 13, we will promptly delete the account and associated data.
